When i went to spray this property Saturday there was this happy little bird...each time i passed by it just chirped and chirped but did not leave...well since i take the camera everywhere...i went back to the truck and got the camera out
i figured for sure! when i wanted a picture it would leave...so i began taking pictures kind of far away
but she let me get closer and closerand closer
and closer
the whole time, she is singing away!!
I am standing right next to her here and I do not have the zoom on!
i was talking to her telling her how pretty she was
obviously this is a young bird not messed with yet to be so un afraid
she would talk back to me and sing
I am really amazed that I was able to get so close
isn't she a beautiful purple marten!!!!

Do martens nest on the ground? Perhaps she was trying to draw your attention to her and away from her nest. You did get close!
OMgosh, she really IS beautiful and so friendly. Let's hope others are as sympathetic to her as you. Great photos!
