It Is FINALLY!! Clicking!

Marie Otero is offering digital magic an online class to learn those photshop secrets a lot of you have figured out
I am a slow curve after several books (and they were helpful) another on line class (and she is an excellent instructor as well) it is finally connecting for me...this is week 3 exercise
Marie's barn image we had to manipulate in class.
had 3 textures 2 brushes and 2 lassoed images then text

this is my result..except i spelled incorrectly..oh well

not too bad tho eh!!
of course this is following the step by step instruction
then

I took my own stock photo

a stone outbuilding

I added Maries textures but omitted the text step

and this is what I achieved
i love the look!!!

thank you marie for helping it to finally make the sense i needed to achieve some results!

Great effects Mary! Once you have got the hang of it all you need is your imagination! I love the first picture especially.

Okay, Mary, This is probably a really fine tool, but - the vine thing is bothering me - the one that looks like it climbs the edge of the building. It's like it's splitting the image right on the edge of the building - or perhaps that's what you had in mind...

It really IS gorgeous. You did a super job. Your own photo turned out wonderful and you did it all on your own. Good for YOU.

Hey Mar - thanks for your wise words, once again! You're a doll! You know, there are also a lot of amazing tutorials on you tube too! All for free. Though it does look like you have learned the basics here!
