As a Silence Fell

So earlier today I decided fog wasn’t going to roll in.  So it began.

I added more atmospheric feel to the scene.

Then broke out the oils and wax and added dreamy creamy atmospheric feels and textures
That doesn’t really get picked up in the picture.

This is now complete.

An Ode to Nature

This is where I started today.
To see the pictures better enlarge them up.
Even though they are glarey and a bit dark
better pictures tomorrow

Getting some trees started and landscaping in.

And after adding more the buildup is left here until tomorrow.

Finishing One Beginnings of Another

The Wise Elder is finished.  I am leaving this in unfinished/finished form.  I am pondering town edges and float mounted in frame.

As this project finished, I took another sketch and started the layering of paints on it.

Sketch to first layer of paint.

Adding next layer and I leave it here today.

Eye work today, as this eye takes some shape.
I also worked to build more fur layers.

Growing depth, and fur.

Leaving the painting here today.

As the Value Grows

Beginning as a charcoal

My idea is laid out and adding more charcoal, I begin blending out a form.

From this layer I smear on a bit of paint to begin grounding him.

And the layers begin to build for the under painting and the values begin to shape up.

This is where I stopped today.

Thank you for looking and I hope you follow along.

She has Stopped Talking

So, this is where I left off.
As I slowly add to this, we get.

This.
There is beginning to show some depth.

By now you are realizing that this is an abstract.

Her voice is beginning to get quite, she has finished telling the story.

The end
A nature abstract.
‘As Night Falls”

Oils/cold wax/knives on paper
Thank you for hanging in there.
