Collaging Backgrounds...

Collaging can be intimidating...especially when you are careful and exacting in placement...don't.
Pick some complimentary colors...texts what have you and glue it down.
These pages will become a journal...pretty cool if you ask me... I am being inspired by Julie from lost luggage...we take this journal to the next level when part 2 of the class come into play.
We decorate the pages journaling!

I only have 6 of the 12 pages side 1 finished for this afternoon....
Even after i loosened up it is still a fairly time consuming job...it will be worth it though!!!
Her book example is amazing!
I hope I didn't go to dark...I plan to have some lighter pages too to mix into each other.
Thank you for stopping by...I enjoy our visits a lot!

Your collage backgrounds are wonderful. They are interesting and daring. You take chances. I like that, and I shall try to follow your lead =)

Hi, Mary! Looks like so much fun! I especially like the green mulberry paper, the painted graph paper, and the patterned paper with the dots on blue. :-)

Looking good! I'm so far behind in that class. I'm loving it though!

You're doing great! It's harder than you would think to be free with collage. To just place and not control. Keep up the fabulous work.

Thanks, Mary, for sharing your collaging process. Collage IS intimidating to me, but I do enjoy seeing how people get there. I'll have to swing by Lost Luggage and see what's going on! :>

Like you, I have trouble with collage because I'm so precise, too. But yours is so well done, I can't wait to see how you finish it.
