I would be proud to hang this on my wall, thats for sure.
xoSandy
www.TobyandMaxJewelry.blogspot.comSandyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17489864552036090560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1245662290784609466.post-82403176337265886922010-10-02T16:13:31.223-05:002010-10-02T16:13:31.223-05:00Oh I like this. Love what's happening in the whole back area tho. That seems a nice combo of the 3 main colors. I grew up with marshes and egrets and this rings of truth to me! Maybe scraping back some of the brown down to the green or adding more greens in the front would help out? Just my 2cents. Like the texture too, by the way!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10161411285377899594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1245662290784609466.post-64411288366231974732010-10-02T14:51:16.252-05:002010-10-02T14:51:16.252-05:00I feel the same as you in that I think using more ...I feel the same as you in that I think using more light to the left of the egret's chest so your eye flows up and to the left through the piece. But that's just me, Mary. Letting the texture and under layer give the impression of some grass blades? Something to think about.

You could grab some small sticks/branches from outside, lay them down and brayer over them to lift the white layer and create the impression of the grasses. That would have a nice and natural shape.

So many things to experiment with!

I really like the brown added with the green. It looks great!Christyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14883406740096780758noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1245662290784609466.post-5409701544590706532010-10-02T13:06:44.439-05:002010-10-02T13:06:44.439-05:00That is so beautiful.
